Another great day of netball took place today. Both venues were buzzing with supporters, officials and players.
Ashby School:
Ashby saw Division 2 teams play. Hornettes were hungry for another win and didn’t give Whitwick Ignite chance to settle into the match. Gracedieu Gems and Whitwick Flames was a much more even match which could have gone either way, but Gems held their lead throughout.
Newbridge School:
Newbridge hosted Division 1. Blaby and Gracedieu Diamonds put on a good show with both teams wanting to start the season with a win, but Diamonds won. Coalville Jets dominated against Gracedieu Pearls in their 2nd match of the season, putting them top of the League Table. Newly promoted Ashby Flames struggled to put many goals past reining champions Swadlincote Swifts, who took their first win of the season. Measham Tridents and Bosworth Roses finished the day with a closely fought match with just 1 goal in it at the final whistle.
