Can GK use the Goal Post for support when marking a shot?
Absolutely not. The infringement is contact on the post and depending on the situation will depend on the sanction.
As a general rule:
- If 1 person is involved (i.e. contact on post when retrieving a rebound) = free pass.
- If 2 people are involved (i.e. contact on post while defending ball or player) = penalty
