Just 2 weekends of League matches, plus the Cup & Plate Finals, and the end of the season is almost upon us.
We have our annual Optimum Performance Tournament taking place on Sunday 5 May at Ashby School and our Presentation Ball is on Saturday 11 May at Rosliston Forestry Centre. Both occasions are always popular and there are still places left for both. Please contact us now to reserve your places.
The League table has been removed temporarily so we can check results, points and winners of the awards without spoiling it for everyone. I will put it back online with full results and winners after the Presentation Ball.
A consultation paper is going to go out to all Clubs imminently (i.e. when I have finished tweaking it). This sets out our proposals for divisions, matches, cup/plate tournament, etc, for future seasons. One of our main goals is to grow the league year-on-year, and in order to do that, some concessions have to be made. Clubs are therefore being given the opportunity to find out about these proposals before we have to implement them and they will be discussed at the AGM.
Details of the AGM will be sent to al Clubs shortly. All Clubs must be represented at the AGM.
Registration for next season will open soon. We hope that every team will come back next season with hopefully some new teams. Please use your netballing contacts and encourage teams to join us. Is your Club getting too big for the number of teams you have? Why not consider a new team? Remember, all new teams will enter into the bottom division at the start of the season.
As with every season, we cannot confirm promotion or relegation until we know how many teams are returning next season. Promotion and relegation will be confirmed once Clubs have registered how many teams they are entering.
England Netball are mixing things up next season. As members, you will be contacted with these changes, in particular, how to affiliate next season. Please make sure all your players are aware of how to do this. There are workshops on offer and we encourage all Clubs to send a representative to ensure the smooth running of affiliations in the summer. Did you know that EN are providing websites for Clubs and Leagues? We are waiting for more information on this.
